We had the opportunity to sit on the Promotions Portfolio in the Web Chair to maintain and manage the website content for the 2018 Alberta Summer Games hosted in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
It was an awesome couple days during the games from July 19-22 2018. The heavy lifting definitely went on behind the scenes with all the fantastic staff, board and volunteer portfolios made the event a success!

The emphasis of the V stands for Veliu. A family owned business started from the ground up with big dreams and even bigger passion. They are already making waves in the industry and with their other business ventures, they are setting the standards and expectations high.

The Challenge
Jason Scott was previously running a Joomla 2.5 website from 2012. Technology changes so fast that in 2017, The RETS/MLS feed software was outdated and no longer supported, which resulted in inaccurate data, and slow MLS listing feeds. The previous platform and theme were prior to the race for mobile traffic. While the old website had a custom mobile site the general content of the website was not “responsive” to various viewports.The Solution
In June 2017, we were commissioned to revamp the full website from the ground up! Which we started with WordPress, a web-standard software that holds the larger market share for all CMS systems. This is essential for growing businesses and the fast-paced online market place. We worked with a completely new MLS Feed source and implemented it into a fully responsive custom theme. Organized the extra content from across all marketing channels to funnel into the new website to create a central hub for all his information & resources.%

TOOTH TALKS INC.
Their mission is to provide interactive, enthusiastic and educational dental health presentations to teachers, parents and children in communities surrounding Edmonton, AB.
Tennille hopes to reach more and more children each year by volunteering her presentations and also in partnership with the support and sponsorship of local dentists helping her “bridge the gap” to provide much needed dental education to local school children. Grade 1 students are generally the program’s focus as at this age, children are usually brushing and flossing independently and getting their 6 year molars. But of course the presentation can be modified for other grades.
